Why You Should Never Look Past Buying a German Car.

There are always times in your life when only the best will do; the odd occasion when the need for quality outweighs the necessity of securing a bargain. One of these situations is when you are buying a new car straight off the peg, which is by no means a future-proof solution. It is well documented that new cars lose huge swathes off their value as soon as they leave the forecourt.

However, whether you just fancy a splurge, need a better car for safety or just want to be safe in the knowledge that you are getting the best, sometimes you just have to buy new. In this case the safe option would always be to plump for a German-made vehicle as they are renowned for being well built, long-lasting and having refinement in spades. There is no shortage of choice with reputable brands like Audi, Mercedes, BMW and Volkswagen to pick from in the market. Here's what these four manufacturers have to offer:

Audi
It's no wonder that Audi's brand slogan is: 'Advancement through Technology' as you won't find more technology-laden vehicles anywhere else. They ooze quality from every pore, look great and perform admirably. Audi doesn't always get the credit it deserves for the cars they knock out, but from a class-leading A3 to a stunning Audi TT coupe, there is quality at every price bracket.

BMW
If you want performance from your car then BMW has to be at the top of your shopping list. Their mid-range offering the BMW 3 Series has been at the top of the compact executive class since its inception. Moreover, the double grilled styling is available across the entire range from the baby of the crop, the BMW 1 Series, right up to the sporty Z4. There are not many cars that can live with a BMW's speed, poise and handling on any road surface.

Mercedes
It is no coincidence that when you visit a German city the majority of taxis on the roads are Mercedes cars. They have unrivalled longevity, unsurpassed comfort and enough power to keep the mind focused. Whether you want a sleek saloon, smart city car or rampaging sports car then Mercedes has a car for you.

Volkswagen
Whether it is because of the genre-defining Golf model or the curvaceous Beetle, VW has won its way into British hearts over the generations. Volkswagen probably offers the best value for money motors of all the German manufacturers with reliability coming as standard. It has even revolutionized its range to encompass a solid SUV offering in the Touareg and a stylish saloon in the form of the Passat, so all the bases are covered.

There is little doubt the Germans are first when it comes to producing top quality motors; making them extremely hard to discount at any time.
